Addanki, Oct 17th: 8 people from a single family including the driver were dead in an accident where the Tempo they were traveling fell into the Addanki canal in prakasam district. The accident took place at around 8 pm when the tempo was trying to cross the bridge over the canal
The total family was going to attend a marriage function in Mamillapalli in Santhamaguluru mandal. In this accident Garlapati Sankar(75) , Subbamma(70), Anantha Lakshmi(42), Markandeyulu(25), Mohini Kumari(29), Vivek(3), Anusha(8) and the driver of the vehicle were all drowned in the river.
CI Mehboob Shah, SI Sheshayya reached the incident place by hearing the news of the accident. Police with the help of villagers took out the bodies and the vehicle from the canal around 10.45 pm and informed about the accident to the kin of the families
