Seven persons who were traveling in auto-rickshaw were injured, when it hit an APSRTC bus on ADB Road at Peddapuram here on Monday. 5 of the victims belonged to the same family and the condition of the victims is said to be critical. All the seven members, including the auto-rickshaw driver were from Divili and were on their way back to their village after visiting goddess Kanakadurga temple in Vijayawada. The APSRTC bus was on its way to Rajahmundry from Kakinada and the accident occurred when the auto driver, Dudi Satyanarayana, 45, tried to overtake the bus. The other victims were identified as Molleti Veera Babu, 20, Dudi Durga, 30, Dudi Janardhan, 35, Dudi Nagendra, 15, Dudi Raju, 13, and Chitneedi Appa Rao, 45. They are getting treatment at the Government General Hospital here. The Peddapuram police are investigating the case.
