The State Government released a total 674 School Assistant posts & 286 Secondary Grade Teachers (SGT) posts for East Godavari District according to the GO-7 notification under Rajiv Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) scheme. Under School Assistants recruitment, Mathematics 103, Physical Science 110, Natural Science 81, English 114, Social studies 92, Telugu 117, Hindi 52 and under SGT recruitment: Mathematics 44, Physical Science 47, Natural Science 37, English 49, Social studies 40, Telugu 50, Hindi 22 & Gazetted Head Master 5, posts will be recruited according to the notification. According to this, Progressive Recognized Teachers Union (PRTU) State Association President, Mr. Chamanthi Nageswara Rao released a press note here on Tuesday. Speaking on this, he stated that there are insufficient teachers in the District; therefore, Government will recruit all these posts on Pongal Holidays. He also demanded Government to recruit all the posts through DSC by canceling TET process.
