The 64th Republic Day of India, was grandly celebrated by the district authorities here on Saturday at Kakinada Police Parade Grounds. The Indian national flag was hoisted by the District Collector Mrs. Neethu Kumari Prasad in these celebrations. She had took salute for the first time as a collector after his posting. The day was celebrated grandly by the impressive march-past by the NCC cadets and extraordinary performances of schools students. Speaking on this, the District Collector had announced the implementation of government welfare schemes in the district. She had given excellence awards to the winners from various categories in the district. District SP Mr. Siva Sankar Reddy, APSP Commandant Mr. Rajesh Kumar, Additional Joint Collector Mr. B. Ramarao, MLA's Mr. Dwarampudi Chandra Shekar Reddy, Mr. Nallamilli Sesha Reddy, Mr. Pantham Gandhi Mohan and many other officials participated in the program. The ceremony culminated with the National Anthem and the release of colorful balloons.
