Athletic competitions were held by District Athletics Association this Sunday at Rangaraya medical college's sports ground. Around afternoon 3 P.M these selections were started and nearly 25 sports men participated. Long jump,High Jump,Running competitions were held for Under-18 & Under-20 and there was active participation by sports men. Among them 6 were selected for state competitions that are to be held at Gachibouli stadium, hyderabad on 10th & 11th. Association Director, L.Chandra kanth, Olympic Association Secretary Padmanabam, Sparjan Raju, Tathabbai, sportsmen took part in this event. The selected candidates are G.Siva Shankar(Long Jump,Eleswaram), P.Satish(High Jump, Eleswaram), G.Ramakrishna(High jump,Athreyapuram), K.Naresh(5000m Runner, Kakinada), K.Swaminath (100m,200m runner, Kakinada), G.Naga Satya(100m Runner & Long jump, Kakinada).
