Four students were swept away in the ocean at Kakinada beach here on Sunday evening. Two died and other two are missing. The victims were 1st year B.Pharmacy students of JNTU College of Engineering, Kakinada. Rabba Rajendra Prasad (18) from Challapalli of Krishna District, Paaluri Eswar Chandra from Nallimarla village of Vijayanagaram District, MV Ajay Kumar from Siddardha Nagar of Kakinada and G.Ranjith Kumar from Anakapalli. Total ten students often go to beach during afternoon to play cricket every weekend. While playing, four of them went a bit further from the shore, and got swept away by a heavy wave during 4:30pm evening. Other friends shouted for help but all the four already went missing. After 1 hour, dead body of Rajendra Prasad was found at the shore. Watching this, the other friends panicked and informed the officials. Collector Neetu Kumari Prasad, SP Ch.Trivikrama Varma, DSP Sai Sri and other officers reached the spot. Search was started for the remaining victims and found Ajay Kumar's dead body at night 10pm. Timmapuram Police said this to news line.
