Kakinada, Mar 3^rd: Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (J.N.T.U) has organized a four day workshop for cops on Office automation application for police personnel on Tuesday. The workshop was organized by the computer science department of JNTU. District SP Y. Nagi Reddy, additional SP Jagannath are the chief guests for the program. JNTU vice chancellor Mr. Allam Apparao has inaugurated the program. Speaking on the occasion Mr. Apparao revealed the need of information technology with the changing needs in the society. He assured the police department to extend his help in giving training to the police personnel in computers applications and others.

Mr. Y. Nagi Reddy also presided over the meeting. He stressed the need of computer knowledge for the police in dealing with various cases particularly in crime investigation. He thanked the JNTU authorities for organizing the workshop and helping them in providing computer knowledge. Coordinator of the workshop, Mr. K.V.R Murthy also spoke on the occasion. He asked the cops to avail this facility and impart computer knowledge. JNTU principal, Dr. E.V Prasad, vice principal Prabhakar Rao, HOD of electronics Dr Satya Prasad and other participated in the meeting.
