Kakinada, Feb 22^nd: Nehru Educational Society, Ashok Nagar has grandly celebrated its 39^th anniversary celebrations on Sunday. The celebrations were organized at school premises and East Godavari District SP Y. Nagi Reddy attended as the chief guest for the occasion. He did jyothiprajwalana and initiated the program. Speaking on the occasion Mr. Nagi Reddy revealed the need of sports and cultural activities for the students to develop both physically and mentally besides normal academics. He also revealed the role of teachers and the parents in educating the children to develop them as good citizens.

Nehru Educational Society president, M. Adinarayana also presided over the meeting. Speaking on the occasion he thanked teachers and parents of the students for lending their cooperation in driving the school towards success and also in bringing good results every year. As a part of anniversary celebrations cultural programs were organized by the school management. The dance performance given by 1st class students stood as the main attraction in the program. Deepanjali dance by 6^th class students was also a highlight. Later school management has distributed prizes to the winners under different competitions.
