Amalapuram, Oct 14th: Three persons deceased by inhaling the poisonous gas from a septic tank of Srirama Chandra Towers in Amalapuram on Tuesday. Mahesh (27), Suresh (25) and Kona Srinu(28) were dead while cleaning the septic tank due to the poisonous gas in the tank.
All the three belonging to municipal colony has agreed to clean the tank. Accordingly suresh went into the tank and started cleaning it, with in few minutes he fell unconscious by inhaling the gas. Mahesh who went inside to help the friend also fell unconscious. As there was no response from both of them, Srinu also went inside and fell there. Two of their friends waiting outside shouted loudly and raised alarm as there was no response.
The neighbors rushed and pulled them out with ropes and took them to the hospital. The doctors declare that Mahesh, Suresh were brought dead and Srinu was dead while undergoing treatment.
The relatives and kin of the victims along with the activists of Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti did raastaroko along with the bodies and demanded 5 lakhs compensation to each of the family. They also demanded jobs in the municipality to the kin of the victims.
