Kakinada, April 14^th: As many as 24,439 election staff were appointed for the phase-II elections that are scheduled to be held on April 23^rd for all the 18 assembly segments and 3 parliament constituencies. At a meeting organized at Ishwarya Grand (IG) on Tuesday, the second randomization for the election staff was held and completed. East Godavari district collector along with election observers and the returning officers attended the program. According to the collector, the third randomization for the staff will be held on April 21^st and on that day the staff will be appointed to different polling centers.

Micro observers appointed

For the smooth conduct of elections in the identified sensitive areas in the East Godavari district as many as 640 micro observers are appointed. According to the District Election Officer, Mr Gopala Krishna Dwevedi, 30 were appointed in hyper sensitive areas, 20 in sensitive and 15 were appointed in less sensitive areas. Women staff was given exemption from this duty. Collector revealed that these observers will be monitoring the polls through video graphing.
