Kakinada, March 3rd: In the ensuing academic year, two new petroleum related courses are going to be introduced in Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada. In the last academic year the university has introduced one such course called Petrochemical Engineering. The other two courses namely Petroleum Technology (PT) and Petroleum Technology Management (PTM) will commence from this academic year 2010-11.
The university is providing 50 seats in each course while the admission for the PT course will be through Eamcet and for the other will be through Icet (Integrated Common Entrance Test). Speaking to the media, the university Vice Chancellor, Mr. Allam Apparao said that they were launching the courses to meet the new challenges of globalised world. Visiting professors and experts from Reliance industries will initially teach the students about the new courses, he added.
