Governing Council Chairman Mr. MR Madhava stated that JNTU College of Engineering, Kakinada must be recognized in International level. First Governing Council Meet was conducted at JNTU Autonomous university here on Sunday. Speaking on this, he advised to provide quality education and bring good reputation to University. UGC Deputy Secretary Shakil Ahmed stated that basic facilities required for PG Education and Research will be provided by UGC funds, he added. Later, he reviewed on development program by Rs.10 Crores through TEQIP-1. He also reviewed on development program by Rs.12 Crores sanctioned through TEQIP-2. They finally decided that this Governing Council meeting must be conducted for every six months. In this program, Council Secretary Mr. Padma Raju, Members Ravindra, Ramalinga Raju, PS Rao, VV Subbarao, Datla Ramesh, Murthy, D. Venkateswaralu and others were present.
