Mr. Thota Narasimham, Minister for Stamps & Registrations, has stated that the State Government is always gives first priority for the welfare of farmers. He had participated as the Chief Guest in Ugadi Awards-2013 program, which was arranged by District Agriculture dept to present awards to the best talented farmers on agriculture and related fields in the District, here on Friday at Krishi Bhavan in Kakinada. Around 14 members of most talented Farmers from the district received these awards. Each farmer got Rs.5 thousand cash price and a momento. Speaking on this, the Minister has called upon the farmers to use all the welfare projects, which are implementing by the Government for them. He called them to make the Rythu Chaitanya Yatra, which will be conducted from 22nd of April and also the Rythu meetings from 10 th to 15 th of May to be successful in the district. He has reminded that the Congress party is the only party, which have saved farmers by reducing VAT tax on Oil Palm productions in the state. Animal Husbandry Minister Mr. Pinipe Viswaroop has presided over the program as another Chief Guest. Speaking on this, he stated that the Pushkara project will be completed soon with Rs. 2 crores expenses to give drinking and using water supply to the farmers in the district. MLA's Mr. Kannababu, Mrs. Vanga Geeta, District Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad and other officials participated in the program.
