The 100th Birth Anniversary of Great Telugu Poet Sri. Boyi Bhimanna was celebrated here on Sunday at Vidhan Gowtami Hall, Collectorate According to this, High Court Senior Judge & RPI State President Mr. Bojja Tarakam and District Collector Mr. Ravi Chandra presided over the program as chief guests. Speaking on this, Collector Mr. M.Ravi Chandra stated that, Sri. Boyi Bhimanna is a great poet, who has created more awareness & consciousness to the public with his poems. He felt that, poetry of Sri. Bhimanna should be given priority to publish in the books of Secondary School education by the State Board. Later, the book ‘Bhimapaala raagam’ written by the famous writer Mr. Nethala Pratap Kumar was launched by the chief guests. Later, Writers Mr. Koyi Venkateswara Rao & Mr. Sarella Venkataratnam had explained some of the poems of Sri. Bhimanna. Famous Writers and Poets attended the celebrations.
