Additional Joint Collector, Mr. B.Ramarao called upon the respective officials to give 100% Vaccine to street dogs and adopted dogs within 10 days. He participated in the review meeting held at Collectorate with Animal Husbandry and Welfare officers and Panchayathi Officers here on Saturday. He noticed that as of now, only 20% of street dogs and adopted dogs were given vaccine. He stated that as there is deficiency in dog catching personnel, this process is going slow. He also said that in order to overcome this deficiency, Animal Welfare Board members would conduct 7 days training classes for Sanitation workers. Later, actions must be taken to give Anti Rabies Vaccine to all street and adopted dogs in Panchayathis and Municipalities. He suggested to give Anti-Rabies vaccine to adopted dogs and collect Rs.50/- to provide license. Municipal RD Mr. Rajendra Prasad, Animal Husbandry JD Padma, AD Sudhakar, Municipal Commissioner, Animal Husbandry Doctors, Panchayathi Raj Staff were present.
