One person died while 40 others were injured across the District in separate road accidents during the New Year celebrations. Due to this, Emergency ward of Government General Hospital, Kakinada was filled with victims. Gorla Veerababu (30) from Bikkavolu Mandal was dead during his treatment at GGH. Victims will less injuries were given first aid and send back. On the other hand, treatment was given to other 20 injured persons. Most of these accidents were drunken driven accidents.
