Union Minister of State for Defence, Mr. M.M.Pallam Raju released a book titled ‘Viswavidyalaya Rupakalpana,' written by Vice-Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University - Kakinada (JNTU-K), Prof. Allam Appa Rao here on Sunday. Speaking on this Mr. Pallam Raju said that the book provided information on the initiatives taken up by Prof. Appa Rao to develop JNTU-K into a world class University. Showering praises on the Prof. Allam Appa Rao for developing the University with required infrastructure and facilities, Mr. M.M. Pallam Raju called upon the students to make better use of the facilities available at the University. Prof. Appa Rao, in his address, referred to the proposal scheduled by the Reliance group with regard to the setting up of a world class University. He urged Mr. Pallam Raju to use his good offices to make the Reliance group provide the required financial and technical support to make the JNTU-K a world class University. He felt that Reliance group could invest here, as it had taken up major projects in the Krishna –Godavari (KG) basin. Invitation committee members Mr. Dantu Surya Rao, Mr. Aluri Vijayalakshmi, Directors of the JNTU-K, Mr. K. Satya Prasad, Mr. K. Padma Raju, Smt I. Santhi Prabha, Mr. G.V.R. Prasada Raju and others were present.
