'Telugu Language Day', which coincides with the birth anniversary of the renowned Telugu Language Scientist Sri. Gidugu Ramamurthy has celebrated here on Wednesday. District Cultural Association is being organized these celebrations here on Wednesday at Vidhan Gowtami Hall in Collectorate, Kakinada. District Collector Mrs. Neethu Kumari Prasad had participated in the program as chief guest. The program has conducted in the chairmanship of Additional Joint Collector Mr. B. Ramarao. Firstly, Collector has started the program by lighting the lamp (Jyothiprajwalana). Later, all the officials offered garlands to the statue of Sri. Gidugu Ramamurthy and paid rich tributes. Speaking on this, Collector stated that mother language should be protected by every individual, Telugu language is having a very great history, so every one should be proud for that, she added. Various cultural activities have taken place in this program by the school students. Later, famous Poet Mr. Patanjali has felicitated in this program. The famous Telugu poets and writers called upon the importance of Telugu language. RDO Mr. G. C. Kishore Kumar, Mr. Dantu Suryarao, Dr. Aaluri Vijaya Lakshmi, Mr. Gowri Naidu, Smt. Rayavarapu Satyabhama and others participated in the program.
