Information Technology plays a key role in the overall development of the Nation said Vice-Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Kakinada JNTU-K Prof. Allam Appa Rao. JNTU-K celebrated ‘Tech Knowledge Day’ as part of the weekl ong celebrations of its Second Anniversary here on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Appa Rao said that technology would help in making better use of available manpower, as many developed countries required manpower along with sound technical knowledge. He felt that communicating technical knowledge among youngsters would help them secure better jobs in India and Abroad. Director of DRDO, New Delhi, Mr. Srinivasa Rao, Director of Science and Technology of JNTU-K Mr. B. Prabhakara Rao and others were present.
