Competitions on Physics, Electronics and Ultrasonic applications were conducted as the part of ‘Shastra-2010’ event at VS Lakshmi Degree College here on Thursday. 26 students from various colleges participated in the seminar competitions on MTI Radar, Semi Conductor Memories. 17 students from various districts attended the Computer Science competitions. Principal, Smt. V. Sandhya said that participating in such science competitions would improve creativity and knowledge in studaents. Trewport Technology Director, Mr. Phani Kumar said that degree students must have analytical knowledge to succeed in computer software industry. In Computer Science Department, D.Prashanthi from Aditya Womens Degree College was awarded with first prize, N.Srikanth from Andhra Loyola College was awarded with second prize, S.Jyothsna from VSL College was awarded with third prize. In Physics Department, Y.Naga Jyothi of YRL College was awarded with first prize, S.Srikanth of VS Lakshmi Degree College and Sk.Shehnaj of Aditya Womens Degree College were also awarded with second and third prizes.
