Kakinada, Feb 26th: Children from 21 schools across the State participated in ‘Save the Blue’ workshop conducted by Sri Prakash Synergy School (SPSS), Peddapuram at Kakinada beach here on Friday. Competitions were held in the presence of famous sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik. The children made sand sculptures resembling different marine species. The contestants have thus driven home the message that the pristine beaches and marine ecosystems needed to be protected with collective effort. SPSS is organizing a ‘Blue Walk’ on Saturday with the stated objective of creating awareness about the importance of conserving the marine ecology.
