"Mahaboudha" Festival

Historic sources of lord Buddha were found in the excavations of Archaeological Department at Kummarilova village in Tuni mandal. Gollapalli Surya Rao, President of Tri Ratna Boudha Vihar in Amalapuram said that they are going to organise "Mahaboudha" festival on 31st of August at Kummarilova. Brochure of this festival was released yesterday at Hotel Santhi Bhavan in Kakinada. On this occasion Mr. Surya Rao said we are lucky enough that sources were found to prove Buddhism is spread in various villages of our district like Adurru, Rajahmundry and Tuni. Everyone should follow and respect the great principles of lord Buddha. Everyone should participate in "Mahaboudha" festival and make it successful, he added. Kakinada Boudha Vihar Oraganiser M. Rameswara Rao, District Buddhist Society of India President G. Venkateswara Rao and others participated in this program.
