In association with Uma Educational and Technical Society, a cultural event ‘Madhurima’ was conducted here on Thursday night. Fine Arts, Cine Music, Comedy were the part of this event. Collector’s wife Smt. Padmavathi Ravi Chandra participated as the Chief Guest in this event. Haritha from Madras Chidambaram Dance Academy performed Sastriya classical dance and impressed the audience. Singer Anjana Sowmya also fascinated the audience by singing cine songs in music show. Smt. Padmavathi applauded on performing such events, which serves disabled persons. Later, Uma Manovikasa Kendram Executive Director, Mr. SP Reddy said that by organizing this event, the amount collected through passes would be given in form of books, useful equipments to disabled children of Physically Handicapped schools of rural areas. Performance by Sastriya Dancers Srivani Kishore and Haritha delighted the audience. Comedy by TV Anchor Latha and Mimicry Artist Kumar Dev also entertained audience. Later, they distributed water filters, fridges, playthings to 15 physically handicapped schools. Joint Director of Welfare of Disabled persons Mr. Jeevan Babu, SC Corporation Mr. ED Mahipal and others participated in this program.
