The 3K Youth Run event was successfully conducted in Kakinada, here on Wednesday. Swami Vivekananda 150th Jayanthi Utsav Samiti, Kakinada has organised this event as a part of 150th year birth celebrations of Swami Vivekananda. It was conducted in different places on the same day all over the country and titled as “Run for Nation”. The event was held under the supervision of Samiti District Chief Secretary Mr. T. S. V. Aditya Sarma. Firstly, the Samiti members offered garlands to the statue of Swami Vivekananda at Vivekananda Park and paid rich tributes. Later, the District SP Mr. Siva Shankar Reddy has flag off the rally as a Chief Guest. The run has been started from Vivekananda Park at 9 am and reached the same place towards Kulai Cheruvu, Mainroad, Masjid center areas covering 3kms in the city. Municipal Commissioner Mr. Ravi Kumar, Deputy Collector Mr. Mallibabu, District Olympic Association President Mr. Y. D. Ramarao and many others participated in the event. Speaking on this, they called the services of Swami Vivekananda to the nation.
