India is the 2nd largest aquaculture producer in the world after China with world-class seafood plants, concerted efforts are lacking in maintaining quality throughout the supply chain. The Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA) has felt the need to guarantee the quality of seafood produced for domestic and export market.
