We, Kakinada Runners Trust, are proudly presenting the inaugural edition of Kakinada Smart City Marathon, an exciting running event in Kakinada city on 31st March 2019. This event is unique in several ways.
It is the first ever timed running event in Kakinada that is aimed at cultivating Running Culture among-st the young and young adults, alike. The event will be an Annual Event and will incorporate Half Marathon and Full Marathon in coming editions.
This Run is modeled inline with popular National and International running Events that include timing chip to time your run, a finisher medal _and _quality Running dry fit Tee.
The event is being planned as per international standards, by a group of experienced and passionate long distance runners and cyclists whose roots are from this area but are highly accomplished professionals and well settled individuals in their respective fields.
To encourage participation from different age groups, we designed 3km / 5km / 10km Run that gives enthusiastic walkers also a chance to join the group in Nature’s lap...the Beach road.
From the initial responses, we are expecting about 2000+ runners/participants in this event.
What better than to have “ETHICAL VOTING” as our Theme for the Inaugural edition during the period of impending elections.
